The Bainville Town Council approved two items to support the town's softball committee: purchase of a freezer and a burgers-in-the-park fundraiser.
Clerk Cochran told the council the softball committee had "raised approximately $4,444.00 with the game concessions and burgers in the park that they have hosted." The council approved buying a new freezer from the Parks & Rec Fund for no more than $1,200, with Councilmember Brian Myers moving approval and Carol Rasmussen seconding. The motion passed unanimously.
The council also approved hosting a burgers-in-the-park event during the Community Garage Sales and waived the park use fee. The approvals are intended to help the committee manage food storage and continue fundraising efforts for local youth recreation.
