Bainville council approves $14,334 cemetery fence after donations

Mayor Toby Romo said the Cemetery Advisory Committee had received roughly $7,500 in donations and that, "With the donations that have been received, the Cemetery Advisory Committee now have the funds to purchase the fence, without having to use the previously approved $7,500.00 from the Oil Well Fund." Councilmember Brian Myers moved to approve the purchase and John Gilligan seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Council documents show the fence purchase was funded by the donations and does not require using the Oil Well Fund allocation previously set aside. The council did not discuss a construction schedule at the meeting; they approved only the vendor and price.
