Council hears beach, courts and public works updates; new fire rings, stairs and repairs reported

Brian Cassidy reported that new fire rings for bonfires have been installed at all beach access points and that bonfire permits are available this year for a fee of $25. He said stair installations at beach access points were completed and that the village hopes to open the improved Stop 43 for the season once contractors finish required work.
Cassidy also reported that American Seal Coating has been filling cracks on the courts, fountains and showers were installed and are functioning, and a contract quote is being sought from Donkersloot & Sons to remove exposed metal at Stop 40. Public works activity included pothole repairs, leaf pickup, daily court cleaning and sand movement at Stop 43 to prepare for contractors.
