Council President Tim McCarthy moved Resolution 2026-02, approving language for an Emergency Services millage to appear on the November ballot. Brian Cassidy seconded the motion; a roll call vote recorded five ayes and zero nays, and the resolution passed.
The council then adopted Resolution 2026-03 opposing the redesignation of the Critical Dune Area within the village (motion by Tim McCarthy, seconded by Nancy Thill; roll call 5–0). The meeting minutes also record council approval of a $55,000 overage reallocated across appropriation lines and the successful second reading and adoption of the 2026–2027 budget (motion by Mike Botehlo, seconded by Nancy Thill; roll call 5–0).
