Council approves posting of 2026 Master Plan draft for 63-day public review

The Planning Commission reported that the first draft of the 2026 Master Plan received approval from the Village Attorney Sara Senica. On May 8 the council voted to post the Master Plan draft to the village website for the mandated 63-day public review period and directed that notice be sent to surrounding neighborhoods prior to adoption.
Council member Mike Bothelo (Planning Commission) thanked the participants for completing the draft, which took about a year and a half to prepare. The council emphasized the need to post documents and provide notice as required by the plan-adoption process; once the 63-day posting period ends the council will consider adoption.
