Hillsborough County honors Wilson Anderson with Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award

At its June 3 meeting, the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners presented the 2026 Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award to Jesuit High School's Wilson Anderson for on-field championships, academic honors and more than 200 hours of community service; two students received honorable mentions.
Katie, with Hillsborough County Communications and Digital Media, said the Board of County Commissioners presented the 2026 Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award to Wilson Anderson of Jesuit High School for his achievements on and off the field.
"The board presented the 2026 Wade Boggs Athletic Achievement Award to Wilson Anderson of Jesuit High School for his achievements on and off the field," Katie said during the June 3 meeting recap.
According to the recap, Anderson made four straight trips to the state final and won state championships in 2024 and this season. He also graduated from Jesuit High School with honors and volunteered more than 200 hours of community service. The board gave honorable mentions to Matthew Altman of Gaither High School and Winston Pennant of Sumner High School.
The recognition was presented as part of the board's June 3 agenda; the county communications office posted the award notice as a public recap of that meeting.
