Paul Johnson, Emergency Management Director, asked the board to approve a five-year joint funding agreement to continue participation in the Des Moines River stream gauge program. Johnson said the agreement is an extension of the current arrangement and that the county’s annual share will increase from $1,000 to $1,250.
The board approved the FY2026–FY2030 Joint Funding Agreement for the Des Moines River Stream Gauge and authorized the Emergency Management Director to sign. The motion in the minutes reads: "Motion by Stevens, second by Anderson, unanimous vote to approve the FY2026 – FY2030 Joint Funding Agreement for the Des Moines River Stream Gauge and allow the Emergency Management Director to sign."
