At the May 12 meeting the board accepted TEST PLC quotes to program and install PLC equipment for the water treatment plant ($6,234.53) and for Martin's Addition Lift Station and the wastewater treatment plant ($26,448.84), for combined quotes of $32,683.37. Representative Englehaupt described security and remote access procedures and said he would "utilize his Village-provided cell phone to remotely access the equipment." Trustee Bernie Victor requested delaying installations until fiber service from Conxxus is in place for improved reliability and security; the board approved the quotes while noting the concern.
The board also reviewed photos and a contractor quote for the salt shed, and approved hiring Pinter General Contracting to make repairs for $11,669.00 after Trustee Jan Martin moved and Trustee Molly Thrasher seconded the motion.
Officials recorded motions and votes for both sets of work; staff will coordinate scheduling and any further security steps before commissioning remote access.
