At the April 28 meeting, the board approved several financial and administrative items. Clerk Rhonda Bezely reported the CD Sewage Fund makes two annual payments of $40,947.48 to the Illinois EPA; trustees voted to reinvest $449,341.54 for nine months at North Central Bank at an APY of 3.89%.
Bezely also recommended renewing the Blue Cross Blue Shield Gold Plan G532BCE for three non‑union employees from 7/1/2026 through 6/30/2027 at a cost of $5,064.13 per month. "Everyone is very happy with their current BCBS plan," Bezely said, and the board approved renewal. Trustees also approved purchasing two legal-size fireproof file cabinets for approximately $5,000 to meet record-retention requirements and voted to abolish Working Cash of $9,514.27 and reestablish it at $0 for fiscal-year cash-flow purposes.
