Director of Finance Kendra Salesky told the West Bonner County School District #83 finance committee on April 10 that the district is moving forward with several outside consultants and has identified unused levy funds that will be applied to their originally attributed line items.
Superintendent Spacek clarified that the unused levy funds "will be used towards the line items they were originally attributed to and that will reduce the amount needed for those line items this year," signaling the district expects lower additional funding needs for those specific budget lines. The district has signed a contract with CESO and plans to begin the CESO engagement in the coming week. Charter Impact has completed the ESSER audit and staff will follow up with Cathy Choi, the CLA representative for the district's FY22-23 and FY23-24 audits.
The committee received the overview as informational; no formal motion or vote on reallocating levy funds is recorded in the minutes for this meeting.
