At the June 8 meeting the council approved the Treasurer’s reports and several fiscal actions: claims and journal vouchers totaling $27,052.02, payroll in the amount of $9,505.17, and voided checks #14847 and #14848. John Gilligan moved to approve the claims and JVs and Carol Rasmussen seconded; motions carried as recorded in the minutes.
The council opened sealed bids for surplus property and accepted a bid from Tim Panasuk of $5,001.01 for the John Deere tractor. The council also approved purchasing an ice skating rink from the Town of Glasgow for $5,000 using donated funds; Brian Myers moved that purchase and Carol Rasmussen seconded. These financial decisions were recorded under the Treasurer’s and old‑business agenda items.
