Snake River board adopts multiple policy updates from ISBA and approves first readings of negotiation-related policies

The Snake River Board approved a package of policy updates provided by the Idaho School Boards Association (ISBA), adopting second readings of numerous policies including those on student records, volunteer confidentiality, transportation standards, driver training and emergency procedures.
The motion to approve second readings (Policy 1313; Policy 3570P; Policy 4600F2; Policy 8100; Policy 8180; Policy 8190 and several others) was made by Carol Hepworth and seconded by Toni Ibarra; all board members present voted aye and the motion passed 4–0. The updates include changes to directory information practices, added language on transportation emergency procedures and required driver training elements.
The board also approved first readings of negotiation-related policy updates (Policy 5210 Work Day, Policy 5400 Leaves of Absence and several associated procedures). Those first readings were approved by motion of Toni Ibarra, seconded by Carol Hepworth, with unanimous support.
