George Kosovic of the Maury River Alliance told the LEPC that in 2023–2024 the group focused on Lake Merriweather, Goshen Dam and upper Maury River concerns, and that they worked with the Scott Council to develop and implement a lake management plan.
Kosovic said the alliance’s 2026 strategic plan includes a new major project to assess flooding potential. He also offered that MRA members with experience in grant writing could assist local partners if funding or research support is needed.
The minutes list the MRA’s advisory involvement and an active interest in flood planning for upper-Maury watersheds, but do not specify project budgets or timelines.
