Administrative Intern Jonathan Durbin told the board the pavilion rental and reservation program was simplified to three user categories—resident, non-resident, and nonprofit—and that pavilion use remains free for the first four hours, after which fees apply. The application process was updated to simplify business classification for entities registered in Lake Villa.
Those operational changes come as the board approved Ordinance 2026-05-03 amending the Village Code related to parks, recreation areas and public properties and utilities. Trustees expressed support for evaluating resident feedback during the first year and requested staff return with suggested adjustments if needed.
