Lake Villa reports water meter replacements halfway complete; Woodhill main work planned

Public Works Supervisor Jim Bowles reported at the May 4 meeting that the village's water meter replacement program is roughly halfway finished and that "the project is approximately halfway complete, with about 1,300 meters remaining." Bowles told trustees residents risk water service disconnection if required appointments are not scheduled and completed by the stated deadline.
Bowles also updated the board on commercial meter replacements and ongoing pump repairs at Monaville and Quality Catering. He described upcoming work on 42 Woodhill that includes replacing approximately 60 feet of water main and a fire hydrant; the board did not change project scope at the meeting and staff will carry forward scheduling and contracting.
