Lake Villa board unanimously approves FY2027 operating and capital budget

"Motion to Approve the FY2027 Operating and Capital Budget," Trustee Bartlett said when she moved the measure; Trustee Nielsen seconded and the motion passed on a roll-call vote of five ayes with Trustee McCollum absent.
The approval came during a meeting in which staff presented routine department updates and several other ordinances and a resolution were approved on unanimous votes. The village will proceed with the budget as adopted for the coming fiscal year; the board scheduled a Committee of the Whole meeting on May 13 to review redevelopment proposals related to the Pelviak project, which staff flagged as part of near-term planning.
