Milford forms STTR review committee; ZBA schedules variance hearing for May 28

The Milford Town Board established a committee to review and revise Short-Term Rental (STTR) regulations and improve complaint intake.
Committee members are Council Members Kristen Velasco and Vera Sosnowski; Planning Board Chair Bruce Milavek; Planning Board Vice Chair Gary Wickham; Planning Board and ZBA member Russ Langford; Zoning/Code Enforcement Officer Neal McManus; and resident Jenna Wratten. The group plans to meet monthly on the first Thursday at 6:00 PM in Town Hall. The Board also rolled out a new STTR complaint form on the Town website that automatically notifies Bruce Milavek, Gary Wickham and Neal McManus when a complaint is submitted.
The Zoning Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet at 7:00 PM on May 28 to hear Ben Holscher’s request for a variance related to an STTR application that was in process when the moratorium was enacted. The Board noted an erroneous contract for Milford Youth Athletics had been sent to Russ Langford in error; the town and the youth league are not ready to formalize an agreement.
