County Representative Meg Kennedy provided several announcements and resources for Milford residents and officials.
Kennedy said the NYS Association of Counties is sponsoring a photo contest with winning images used in a calendar and on social media; photos must have been taken in the county within the last two years. She noted NYMIR (New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal) is seeing an increase in cyber threats to municipal governments and urged awareness. Kennedy also reported that the county received $15,000 from the state for "America 250" activities, to be disbursed in grants of up to $1,250 (application deadline April 17).
Kennedy pointed board members to Wegootsego.com for regional business resources and said the NYS budget delay this year may push back CHIPS funding and delay road projects. She offered to forward contact information for the Mohawk Valley Economic Development District, which helped another town secure a $4.5 million grant.
