The Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Jan. 14 voted unanimously to retain the current slate of officers for 2026 and approved its meeting schedule and the county's electronic meeting participation policy.
Chair (speaker 3) opened the meeting and asked for nominations; a motion to "not change anything" for chair, vice chair and secretary passed on voice vote. Commissioners then approved a 2026 calendar, noting the November meeting was moved from Wednesday, Nov. 11 to Tuesday, Nov. 10 so it does not fall on Veterans Day. The commission also readopted the electronic meeting participation policy, which staff said is reviewed and updated annually to comply with state requirements.
The commission approved the minutes from its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting; Commissioner Bob Kramer recorded an abstention, saying he was not present for that meeting. Chair closed the procedural items and moved the agenda into the substantive hearings.
"The motion passes unanimously," the chair said after several votes.
