Millerton highway update: generator, Kubota tractor, garage lighting upgrade approved and demolition scheduled

A highway representative identified in the minutes as Joe Olienk reported that a portable generator has been purchased, the park sprinkler system will be winterized next week, a security camera and fire system are scheduled to be installed at the garage in November, and a Kubota sidewalk-cleaning tractor plus a plow and sander for trucks have been ordered. He also said three quotes were sought to update lighting at the garage.
Trustee Matt Soleau moved and Trustee David Sherman seconded a motion to spend $8,800 on upgraded lighting, not to exceed $9,000, contingent on approval by the insurance company; the board approved the expenditure unanimously. Mayor Jenn Najdek also told trustees demolition of the old burned-out highway garage is scheduled for Tuesday.
