Laraway C.C.S.D. 70-C board approves consent agenda, hires Pre-K assistant and accepts retirements

The Laraway C.C.S.D. 70-C Board of Education on Feb. 17, 2026 approved a multi-item consent agenda that included personnel, financial and administrative actions. Mrs. Fleet moved and Mrs. Matenaer seconded the motion "to approve the consent agenda," which the minutes record passed on a roll-call vote of 5-0 (Brass, Fleet, Hopkins, Knight and M. Matenaer voting aye).
The consent agenda covered bills payable; imprest payable; new construction payable; payroll; the treasurer's report; and personnel items. The board approved the hiring of Kristina O'Malley as a Pre-K teaching assistant and assigned three extra-duty positions for the Girls on the Go program to Ms. Grubbs, Mrs. Brosius and Ms. Onate. The board also recorded notices of intent to retire from teachers Shannon Kreis and Frank Dillinger, accepted a resignation and separation agreement for Employee #00109, approved payment for staff committee meetings, authorized destruction of the audio session tape for the Jan. 20, 2026 regular meeting, and approved the superintendent's evaluation and contract as part of the consent agenda.
The action was moved and seconded on the record and approved unanimously; no nays were recorded in the minutes. The vote appears in the meeting record under the consent agenda item (SEG 006).
