The Town Board voted to rescind Resolution #127-2025 (the re-appointment of Pamela Sloate as Tax Assessor) and then accepted Sloate's resignation, effective Sept. 28, 2025. Supervisor Chad Niles moved to rescind the re-appointment, seconded by Councilman Adam Deuyour; the motion carried by recorded vote 5–0. A subsequent motion to accept the resignation was moved by Supervisor Niles and seconded by Councilman Timothy Trimm and carried 5–0.
No replacement was named during the meeting; the actions were recorded for the Town Clerk's office. The rescindment and resignation change the current assessor staffing and will require follow-up to fill the position or appoint an interim assessor.
