VDH warns of rising COVID, flu and RSV; county lacks COVID vaccine supply

Jordan, representing the Virginia Department of Health, told the LEPC that cases of COVID, flu and RSV have increased over the past month and urged residents to consult their health-care providers about vaccination.
"Over the last month covid, flu and RSV has increased, especially Covid," Jordan said. Jordan added that pharmacies are limited to administering on‑label vaccines, that the health department currently does not have COVID vaccine doses but does have flu and RSV vaccines available, and mentioned a boil-water notification in Stanton.
The department recommended that residents contact their health-care providers for vaccine availability and reminded the committee that pharmacies follow federal and manufacturer guidance on vaccine labeling.
