Village Engineer Brian Nott told the board that Hoerr continues work in the village and that he met with "Jon" regarding INI results, then announced a planned sanitary smoke test for Jan. 15 and Jan. 16. Nott said officials will test near Fremont & Railroad, Church & Main and near Down on the Farm Toy Store to determine what is tied to the sanitary system. He said colored smoke may be visible and that fliers will alert residents; EMS and the fire department will also be notified.
Nott said the test is intended to identify improper cross-connections and to inform follow-up repairs. Bridgette Stocks is expected to provide a further update at the January Committee of the Whole. The board did not vote on the testing plan during this meeting; Nott presented it as an informational update.
