Staff member Bridgette Stocks provided a series of infrastructure updates. She reported the current lining project has been submitted for payment to the Illinois EPA (IEPA) and that the IEPA boss is working to complete payment this week. Stocks said the stormwater process requires a public notice with a 10-day comment period and a funding application to be submitted by March 31, with results expected in June; a potential bid date was listed as July 1. She added that stormwater project 1 is funded by the capital improvement plan.
On sanitary sewer work, Stocks said a retainage pond land exchange/trade remains to be completed and that Fehr Graham has drawn three proposed options for that land trade. Wastewater improvements phase 1 shares the same March 31 submission timing with results expected in June or July; Stocks said 30% principal forgiveness is still on track. She noted the Safe Routes to School grant is expected to be announced in March/April, ITEP opens Sept. 30, and DNR has not set a date for its Bike Path Grant; ITEP can use the DNR bike path grant as a match. Stocks also raised coordination questions about paving on Route 73 to the KOA and reported the Route 73/Route 20 intersection will be closed for about 120 days over the summer.
