Highway Superintendent Mike Croft told the board June 10 that the Park Manager’s camper has multiple leak spots leading to a soft floor and asked the board to consider alternative on-site housing options for next season. He said highway crews have begun roadside mowing, completed shoulder repairs on Dug, Genesee and Havana Glen, and still need to repair Hayes and Cass Road.
Croft reported Stewart Road was dust‑oiled later than usual because of heavy rain, that three crossover pipes on Drew Road will be replaced within the month, and that stone will be hauled soon ahead of planned chip sealing. He also reported auction results: a high bid of $12,500 on the GMC (which the town will likely accept) and a high bid of $25,900 on the Volvo (which the town will not accept because it is deemed worth more and will be kept in service). Croft said the site for the Salt Storage shed is ready whenever the County is ready to proceed.
