Moira EMS Shows New LUCAS Devices and Stretchers Purchased with Revenue Recovery Funds

Shawn Niles and Cindy Gale attended the Oct. 14 meeting on behalf of Moira EMS and described purchases made with revenue recovery funds, including two LUCAS automatic CPR devices and new automatic stretchers that assist with patient loading and protect EMS personnel.
Shawn emphasized the department reinvests revenue recovery funds into the community and said several new members have recently completed certification, so there is currently no plan or urgency to merge with other agencies. Councilman Deuyour suggested holding a community demonstration of the new equipment during Heritage Day; Shawn said he will try to arrange a demonstration if time permits.
