Three new student board representatives were introduced at the Sept. 16 meeting and described plans for Homecoming, spirit days and a student-led kickoff event.
Constantinos Vitaleos (speaker 11), Elizabeth Specketer (speaker 3) and Josie Irvin (speaker 5) each introduced themselves. Josie Irvin, this year’s student body president, described spirit days, a class distinction day, a monochromatic theme and the pep rally ahead of Friday night’s football game. The student representatives said ticket sales are underway and encouraged community support for events.
The board welcomed the student reps and said they will participate in workshop, committee-of-the-whole and regular meetings as part of expanded student voice in district governance.
