Board adopts 2025'2026 teacher salary schedule, implements HB2 with $1,500 local supplement

Superintendent Matt Everett briefed trustees on the new state-funded HB2 Teacher Retention Allotment and recommended the district adopt a 2025'2026 Teacher Salary Schedule that incorporates the allotment while maintaining a $1,500 local supplement above the state minimum per step.
Barbara Baker moved to approve the recommendation as presented; Jimmie Faye Waller seconded and the motion carried. The board recorded that HB2 will take effect September 1, 2025, and the local supplement of $1,500 per step will be applied as part of the adopted schedule.
