The calendar sets Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 as the first full day for students and lists key dates including Labor Day, Thanksgiving break, Winter Vacation (Dec. 21–Jan. 5) and Spring Vacation. The draft also preserves traditional teacher institute days and recommended non-attendance days for religious observance and election day.
The board approved the draft calendar on a motion by Spencer Long, seconded by Brynn Nordmark, and directed administration to publish the calendar and continue community engagement on final scheduling. The calendar will return for final adoption after review and any negotiated calendar considerations.
