Prospect Heights SD 23 on Nov. 13 approved submitting a preliminary application for the Illinois State Board of Education FY26 School Maintenance Projects Grant. Administration indicated it completed the preliminary application and requested a $50,000 local match to be allocated toward planned Summer 2026 windows, siding and doors work at MacArthur. Pending board approval, the application will be formally submitted to ISBE.
The motion to approve the grant application was made by Brian Greidanus, seconded by Brynn Nordmark, and passed unanimously (7–0). The packet contains the district certification and taxpayer identification documents submitted with the application.
