The board on Oct. 9 approved the list of fundraising and service-learning projects for the 2025–26 school year proposed by administration.
Projects listed in the packet include Sno Cone sales, a Veterans Day breakfast and assembly (Nov. 10) hosted by MacArthur Middle School, toiletry drives and food drives for local food banks, a book drive donation to Bernie's Book Bank, cards for local retirement homes, and a Polar Plunge supporting Special Olympics of Illinois. The packet notes projects are coordinated through classroom teachers and leadership/service clubs and that administration recommends board approval in accordance with board policy.
