Council delays officer nominations until June as membership changes approach

As the current council term ends June 1 and with at least two vacancies anticipated, members moved May 12 to delay officer nominations until the June meeting so incoming appointees can participate. Council member (S6) made the motion to wait until June to nominate officers; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
The chair encouraged interested residents to submit letters of interest to the Board of County Commissioners and said the council is working to fill seats to restore seven total members. No nominations were made at the May meeting, and the council will reopen nominations at the June meeting when additional members may be present.
