River Forest SD 90 approves revised 2026–27 public school calendar

Dr. Christine Trendel, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, presented the final proposed calendar for 2026–27. Trustees identified a minor typographical error during discussion; staff corrected the error and the board then voted to approve the calendar (motion by Dr. Kristine Mackey, seconded by Mr. Josh Ehart). The motion carried on a unanimous roll-call vote.
The calendar adopted on Dec. 16 will guide the district’s school-year schedule for 2026–27. The board did not record additional changes to instructional days or major schedule elements at this meeting.
