The minutes state that district staff will enter into a new partnership agreement with UT Tyler and that representatives from UT Tyler visited the school to present a "Welcome to UT Tyler" box to student Layla Neumeister, the first student from the district to commit to the university. The board also received an update that an appeal following denial of the district's LCISD PD application was successful; the minutes say formal action will be needed in December to approve a proposed line‑item budget and that submissions are being reviewed by Sgt. Jones for compliance.
The board encouraged attendance at the public signing ceremony and recorded no formal vote on the partnership during the Nov. 18 meeting.
