Facilities Committee reports Midwest Snow Solutions submitted lowest bid, will present contract to board

The Oak Grove School District 68 Facilities Committee reported that Midwest Snow Solutions submitted the lowest bid for the district’s snow-removal contract and handled snow removal for the day on the understanding the district would accept their bid. Committee Co-Chair Emily Savino called the meeting to order at 1:04 PM and the committee recorded the vendor as the lowest bidder; the written contract is scheduled to be presented to the full Board at the November meeting.

Committee members noted that buildings staff and administrators also worked to shovel and prepare the grounds that morning. The minutes record no formal decision at the Facilities Committee meeting; the committee’s note that "Midwest was gracious enough to handle today’s snow removal on the word that we would be accepting their bid" signals the district intends to consider that vendor’s proposal at the Board meeting rather than at committee level.
