LCDC proposes $635,000 in parks and recreation projects for FY 2025–26

The Levelland Community Development Corporation (LCDC) presented a FY 2025–26 revenue projection of $650,000 and estimated reserves of $1,260,000 and proposed $635,000 in park and recreation projects. Proposed items included $30,000 for playground resurfacing at Brashear Lake, $30,000 for water-quality fountains, $25,000 for a Lobo Lake trail extension and overlook swing, $25,000 for Phase 2 of the pickleball complex (shade, benches, trash cans, surface painting) and $320,000 for improvements at City Park Field F (lighting, fencing, irrigation, field materials).
The LCDC presentation also listed a $303,000 payment for the Oxy Sports Complex Bond Series 2013 (final payment 2033). Council recorded the presentation but took no action during the Aug. 18 meeting.
