Okanogan County Sheriff Budrow briefed the City of Pateros council on department activity and enforcement plans. "The department is going to start citing for illegal burns. The burn ban is in effect," he said, and added that most positions are filled except for the jail, where recruitment continues.
The update was presented as part of routine city reports and did not prompt further council action in the minutes. The Sheriff's office activity log included elsewhere in the packet lists recent incidents, traffic stops and a theft reported in May.
