The North Mankato City Council approved its consent agenda on July 21, which included bills and appropriations, Resolution No. 65-25 authorizing donations, contributions and grants, and multiple event permits. Approved permits included a large-group audio permit and use of Benson Park for Iveth Quiroz Rios on Aug. 3, 2025 (10 a.m.–9 p.m.), an Alzheimer's Association event at Spring Lake Park Shelter #1 on Oct. 4, 2025 (9 a.m.–noon), and a parade and audio permit for Mount Olive Lutheran Church and School at Spring Lake Park on Sept. 26, 2025.
The minutes record that Council Member Oachs moved to approve the consent agenda and that the motion was seconded by Council Member Peterson, with the vote recorded as Steiner, Oachs and Mayor Carlson aye and no nays. The meeting's earlier roll call lists Council Member Peterson as absent; the minutes therefore contain an internal inconsistency about a seconding member. The minutes do not record any nay votes and list the motion as carried.
