Mount Vernon Real Estate Committee appoints 2026 officers, approves minutes and block-vote procedure

Dr. Darren Morton was nominated and approved as chair of the Mount Vernon Real Estate Committee during its Jan. 30, 2026 meeting, after a motion by Stephanie Vanderpool that was seconded by Derrick Thompson. Vanderpool’s separate nominations to serve as Co-Chair and to appoint Antoinette Anderson as Secretary were likewise seconded by Derrick Thompson and approved by the committee, which recorded the actions as unanimous.
The committee also moved to take minutes as a block vote and approved prior minutes from Oct. 31, 2025 and Nov. 21, 2025. The minutes state, “The motion was approved unanimously.” These procedural approvals set the committee’s leadership and administrative process as it proceeds with property reviews and the 2026 auction planning.
