Superintendent outlines surveys, leadership coaching and a Pokagon Band program at middle school

He invited staff to informal 'coffee with the superintendent' sessions and said the middle school will host a Native American Heritage experience with the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi brought to NBMS rather than sending students off-site.
On student outreach, Bowen said, "We would like to hear directly from students and will begin immediately with grades 9–12, focusing initially on topics such as screen time and whether it is excessive or appropriate." The remarks were presented as programmatic updates; the board did not take formal action on these items at the meeting.
