The Lindsay City Council voted Aug. 12 to amend its agreement with Atlas Municipal Services to include civil site inspection services for storm, water, sewer and road construction in every new subdivision within the city.
Council members said the inspections will be funded by developers. As recorded in the meeting summary, "The fee would be based on the project valuation of the site improvement and would be funded by the developer." The measure passed 5-0 (motion by Jeff Neu; second by Klay Gilbert).
The amendment requires Atlas to provide oversight of civil improvements in subdivisions; the council did not specify a fee schedule at the meeting, only the valuation-based charging method.
