Director of Business Services Amanda McElroy presented a brief overview of the 271 Educator Compensation Letter of Agreement (LOA) after joining the meeting. Treasurer Laura Zervic moved and Vice President Desiree LaDuke supported a motion to approve the LOA; the board approved the motion unanimously with a payment contingency tied to the Gull Lake Education Association (GLEA) contract ratification.
The motion as recorded states the district "cannot issue payment until the GLEA Contract has been ratified and approved." The minutes show the motion passed with AYES from Paulose-Murphy, Keene, Mendez, Zervic and LaDuke; Members McCann and Scott-Rhodes were absent. The board did not set a payment schedule in the minutes and delegated follow-up to Business Services to confirm ratification before any payments are made.
