The Washington CHSD 308 board on Aug. 11 approved a string of personnel actions, including a leave of absence and multiple hirings across non-certified and extracurricular positions.
The board approved a leave of absence for Julie Zehr, Food Service Worker (motion by Kopinski; second by James). The board then approved the employment of Leslie Anderson as Administrative Assistant to the Activities Director, Danny Thornton as a bus driver, and Scott Williams as an instructional aide. The board also approved extracurricular appointments: Sally Broadt as Mathletes Sponsor; Makenna Beard as Head Cheer Coach; Alexis Huntsman as Assistant Cheer Coach; Kara Kamienski as Unified Head Coach; and April Wenzel as Unified Assistant Coach. Each motion recorded a unanimous roll-call vote.
These approvals were processed under the personnel portion of the agenda and were recorded as carried by 7-0 votes. The minutes list the motions and the names of movers and seconders for each personnel action.
