The Lincoln Parish Police Jury adopted Resolution 25-31 to call a special election on Saturday, April 18, 2026, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., asking voters to approve two separate 4.41-mill renewals for a 10-year period (2027–2036). According to the resolution text, each levy is estimated to collect approximately $2,481,000 per year: one proposition for maintenance and improvement of public roads and bridges, and the other for construction, improvement and hardsurfacing of parish roads and bridges.
Dan Lord offered the resolution and Karen Ludley seconded it; the Jury adopted the resolution and instructed that certified copies be sent to the Secretary of State, Clerk of Court and Registrar of Voters and that an application be made to the State Bond Commission. The resolution also authorizes publication of the election notice and designates the Jury President and Parish Administrator to take steps required by law.
