The Washington Community High School Board of Education on Aug. 11 approved a balanced fiscal year 2026 budget after a presentation from Dr. Beverlin. The minutes state, "The budget presented is balanced." The board also approved scheduling a public budget hearing for FY26.
Dr. Beverlin summarized revenue projections, Evidence-Based Funding (EBF) updates, expenditures, fund balances and the Miller Ratio during the budget presentation. The board voted unanimously to accept the budget materials and separately approved the FY26 Public Budget Hearing schedule by a 7-0 roll call.
Enrollment for the district was noted at 1,387 students in the meeting's reports. The board approved a revised auditor agreement for a single audit related to the fiscal materials earlier in the meeting, also by a unanimous vote. The board will formally present budget documents at the scheduled public hearing.
