Secretary Ken Beber moved that, for the 2025–26 school year, the Board delegate contractual authority to obligate the district under Texas Education Code sections cited in the motion to the superintendent, solely for the purpose of obligating the district under the specified TEC sections and to include approval of the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit. Trustee Jeff Burton seconded the motion, which passed 6–0.
The motion as recorded in the minutes cites Texas Education Code authorities (including TEC 11.1511(c)(4), TEC 48.257, and TEC Chapter 49, Subchapters A and D, and the rules adopted by the commissioner under TEC 49.006) as the statutory bases for the delegation. The minutes note no dissent and record the outcome as approved 6–0.
