Search committee votes to invite five finalists for Edgewater city manager interviews

The Edgewater City Manager Search Committee voted to invite five finalists for in‑person interviews and follow‑up vetting.

Mister Rashidot moved the committee to "invite the top 5 scores for interview with the council, and then also to do the one‑on‑one meeting with the council, meeting with department heads, taking a tour of the city, meeting with the public, and then final interview with the council in a public format," and the motion was seconded and passed by roll call. Chairwoman Jamieson and other members answered in the affirmative during the vote.

Committee members identified the five finalists from their scoring column as Chase Wagner, Pat Oman, Joseph (sp.) Gott, Dana Schonning and Jeff Schubridge. Kevin Knudson, the committee's consultant, said he will notify candidates who are no longer under consideration and begin scheduling the finalist visits and interviews. "I'll let the candidates who have been named finalists know that they are finalists and start them on the process for gathering the data that we talked about in next steps," Knudson said.

The committee directed the consultant to arrange one‑on‑one meetings between each finalist and council members, tours with department heads, public meet‑and‑greets and a final publicly noticed interview; the consultant said the event could be scheduled in a three‑day block in early May. The motion passed and the committee adjourned.
