The Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees convened a public hearing on the proposed 2025–2026 budget and proposed tax rate on Aug. 18, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the district administration building at 400 Lobo Lane. Jesse Wyse briefed the board on the Notice of Public Meeting to Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate and presented the staff briefing required for the hearing.
Ms. Sonia S. Flores took roll call. Present at the start were President Mary Watkins, Secretary Ken Beber, Trustee David Montemayor, Trustee Jeff Burton and Superintendent Michael Lamb; Vice President DeLeon English was recorded as arriving late at 5:34 p.m. Trustees Jason Olson and Alejandro Flores were recorded as not present.
There was no public comment during the hearing; the minutes state, "There was no citizen input." No formal vote on the budget or tax rate is recorded in the meeting minutes for this hearing. Following the briefing and the public-comment period, Secretary Ken Beber moved to adjourn and Trustee Jeff Burton seconded. The motion passed 5–0 and the meeting adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
