"we do anticipate, a lot we we do anticipate the uninsured population exponentially growing, as the federal government continues with their actions and the removal of people that were previously, were eligible to, to receive a QHP, to be eligible for for health insurance by another means," Escobar said, describing how changes in immigration status could transfer residents into an uninsured situation and increase pressure on county programs and FQHCs.
Escobar offered to provide background and timelines for how federal changes could affect Prince George's County residents at a future meeting, so the group can account for projected increases in demand when evaluating program scope and prioritization.
